Germany is a really, really nice place. Even prisoners in Germany still get food, and it doesn't suck like English food. A word of warning: Germans are very robust, and their women will terrify you. A norm in Germany is to drink a barrel of beer, then procede to bust it over someone's head, resulting in a rational fear of German tourists.

Italy

Germany was in love with Italy when they were kids because Italy used to be a trap. This confirms that Germany is 100% hetero, rendering the series, which is just a giant ship tease, meaningless.

Germany can never tell what Japan is thinking. Once, Germany and Japan played the "Guess what I'm thinking about" game, and Germany guessed something German and Japan was actually thinking about something Japanese. That was one zany episode.

Germany considers Austria more of a big brother to him than Prussia. He often refers to Austria as "Onii-Chan".

Trivial Matters

• Hidekaz Himaruya originally intended for Germany to be ugly, but realized that being ugly would make Germany less attractive.

• In Hell, the police are German. This is because Germans are notoriously forgiving and allow people to get away with anything.
• Germany shares both Japanese and English voice actors, Hiroki Yasumoto and Patrick Seitz respectively, with Agni, a character from the anime Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji. I didn't know that.
• Germany has three dogs, Blackguy, Bullshit and Asshole.
• Oddly, many of Germany's quirks are similar to the actual behavior of the average German. This has lead some to believe that Hetalia is somehow related to World History.
